Graphics Options in APEX LEGENDS

Dynamic screen resolution

This technology provides for rendering images with higher resolution and subsequent adaptation of the image to the monitor. This way you can make your game more clear.

Adaptive Supersampling

This technology works the same as above, which makes the game much more pleasant, wins in texture and quality of details, but causes a significant reduction in frame rate.

Smoothing

This option blurs the edges, so you can get rid of the hard lines on the screen. If you have a slower graphics card, disable this option.

Aspect Ratio

Adjust the format for your monitor.

Additional shading

Effects of shading, occlusion, etc. If you have a weaker graphics card than indicated in the recommended hardware requirements, we recommend lowering this parameter.

 Display Mode

Full Screen / Window / Frameless Window

Sun Shadow Coverage

This option affects the number and quality of shadows that appear due to the sun.

APEX LEGENDS and 4K resolution

You can play APEX LEGENDS in 4K resolution on personal computers and on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles.

However, to start playing APEX LEGENDS in 4K, you need a video card similar to the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.

With this video card, the game supports a fixed number of 60 frames per second. If you start a 4K game on weaker hardware, you will have to face a sudden drop in frame rate per second.

Can I play APEX LEGENDS without an internet connection?

Unable to play APEX LEGENDS offline? The game makes you have an Internet connection not only at launch but throughout the game.

In case of loss of connection with the servers, the game stops and the main menu starts. The game can only be resumed after reconnecting.

What to do when APEX LEGENDS shuts down?

APEX LEGENDS does not have high hardware requirements, but sometimes it turns off. We have prepared a list of tips that can help in such a richness:

  1. Reinstall the game on another disk  – according to some players, the game works much more efficiently and does not cause problems on the SSD;
  2. Reduce the resolution of the game – the game is disabled if it works with a higher resolution than it can. If you try to play 4K on weak hardware, the game may turn off until you change your settings.

In Apex legends optimization, the best settings on a laptop make sure that the battery mode is set to “High Performance”.

Also, make sure all of your drivers are up to date. Especially GPU drivers. Because NVIDIA and AMD usually release new drivers before releasing games. They greatly optimize your system.
